NABY KEITA’s move to Liverpool appears to be getting closer and an image has emerged on Twitter showing him wearing the shirt.

Liverpool did a deal with RB Leipzig last year for him to move to Anfield in the summer of 2018.

But Jurgen Klopp wants to being him in as soon as possible after losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.

Liverpool are understood to be in talks with the Bundesliga side and hope a deal can be struck.

And now a picture of Keita holding the Liverpool shirt with the number 8 on has emerged online.

It is grainy and could well be a fake but it is another talking point in the on-going saga.

Yesterday Keita registered a company in the UK amid claims the deal would be complete by Sunday and he would wave goodbye to Leipzig fans this weekend.

A company under the name ‘NK8 LIMITED’ has been registered on the Companies House website. Two people are listed as officers - Naby Deco Keita and Bjorn Alexander Bezemer.

Bundesliga journalist Chris Williams then tweeted: “Information from within Leipzig this evening that Naby Keita will become a Liverpool player on Sunday.”

While Lee Price, who has written books on German football, told Express Sport: “Leipzig face Schalke in the clash of the weekend in the Bundesliga. Win and they potentially go second, lose and there will be a five-point gap.

"But it will be important for more than just the league table.

"Leipzig don't play at home for another two weeks after this one and it's likely what happens here could be a big indicator of Keita's mindset.

"We saw Coutinho wave to all corners of Anfield days before he was sold to Barcelona and Keita could do the same.

"While the last few weeks have been difficult, it's a club he holds in high regard and he wants to go out in good grace. He doesn't want to be remembered with any bad feelings."

Liverpool play Manchester City at 4pm tomorrow and could even be in position to announce his arrival before then.

And Liverpool fans have taken to social media to welcome the midfielder.

Tom wrote: “Welcome to Liverpool Football Club, Naby Keïta. Replacing Coutinho with both Van Dijk & Keïta is outstanding business. Credit where due, even more for paying the premium to acquire his services 6 months early. A boyhood LFC fan.Give him the no.8 shirt.”

Steve Blake wrote: “Naby Keita rumours of signing tomorrow gathering pace. Would be a welcome addition. Buy Lemar too and happy days.”

Pranaya Sharma said: “Welcome to Liverpool Football Club, Naby Keita!”

Craig Williams wrote: “Welcome to Anfield Naby Keita #8”
