Cristiano Ronaldo feels 'betrayed' by Casemiro for hailing Neymar and saying the player is always welcome at Real Madrid.

That's according to reports in Spain, claiming Ronaldo is against the idea of the former Barcelona forward joining Los Blancos.

Neymar has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the last week, following claims he is unhappy with the standard of competition in France.

Casemiro was one of a number of Los Blancos players who praised the Paris Saint-Germain forward this week as part of a Real Madrid charm offensive.

The Brazilian told COPE ahead of his nation's friendly with England: "He's a star. He knows what he's doing.

"He's a great player and he'll always be welcome at Real Madrid. I hope he comes, but he's happy at his club."

Sergio Ramos also praised the 25-year-old, telling Cadena Ser: "I like to have the best and Neymar is one of them.

"I consider him to be a different player that makes a difference so, if it depended on me, if he came in December we have had a good time.

"Maybe it was easier for him to go to PSG instead of directly to Real Madrid. I think he's one of the best in the world, but football goes around a lot and it's very personal decisions."

Ronaldo's relationship with Ramos is said to be at an all-time low as it is at the moment, amid claims the Portuguese wants to leave Real Madrid.

And, according to Diario Gol, Ronaldo is now less than impressed with Casemiro also.
